Gilbert & Sullivan show comes to Hesketh Bank

Hesketh Bank Community Centre will be hosting the Hoghton Players on Saturday 6th April, who will be performing “The Seven Ages of Gilbert & Sullivan”. Taking Shakespeare’s “Seven ages of man” speech as a model, The Hoghton Players
have created an evening of Gilbert  & Sullivan excerpts connected with the different stages in human life.  Gilbert’s quirky and novel outlook on life is perfectly complemented by Sullivan’s ingenious and memorable music.  Featuring solos, ensembles and choruses from many of the most popular Gilbert & Sullivan operas (and a few bits from the less well-known ones), all human experience is there: childhood, love, laughter, tears and much, much more!

Steve Kirby, Chair of Hesketh Bank Community Centre, said, “We are delighted to welcome The Hoghton Players to Hesketh Bank and to our Community Centre for the very first time, which we hope will be the start of a long-term relationship.”

Tickets are £7 and include tea and biscuits. For more information or to book contact Hesketh Bank Community Centre on
