Great British Spring Clean – in West Lancs

West Lancashire Borough Council is inviting you to support the Great British Spring Clean.

Following the success of the ‘Clean for the Queen’ Campaign in 2016, which attracted over 250,000 people to take part in nationwide litter picking events, the Keep Britain Tidy Group have launched a new Great British Spring Clean campaign. This aims to inspire 500,000 people to participate in community clean ups, many of which will take place between Friday 3 March and Sunday 5 March.

The Borough Council is organising its own events as well as encouraging and supporting parish councils and residents across the borough to organise their own events in their area.

Volunteers are more than welcome to join in with Borough Council clean up events organised by the Parks and Countryside Ranger Service. Please wear suitable clothing for the weather and ground conditions. The activities are as follows:

Coronation Park, Ormskirk, Saturday 4 March: Meet at the bowling pavilion at 1pm

Chequer Lane Lake, Up Holland, Sunday 5 March: Meet at the car park at 10am

Tawd Valley Park, Skelmersdale, Wednesday 8 March: Meet at the turning circle on Summer Street at 10am
