New wellbeing initiative for expectant and new mums

The Sewing Rooms are launching a new project called Growing Strong.  Biophilia Walks are designed to help expectant and new mothers feel good and function well. By utilising silent disco headphone technology, the team have designed and developed nature walks around Skelmersdale to music. These walks offer participants the opportunity to get active, meet a network of other local mums and connect with their environment in a new way so that they can function well for themselves and their children.

This initiative is free for all participants. Each walk will be an hour long, starting on Saturday 8 June 2019 until the end of October and will be followed by refreshments.

Groups will meet at Skelmersdale Library every Saturday and Wednesday, with walks leaving at 10:30am and 12:30pm on both days.
