This August bank holiday Monday sees Ormskirk’s popular Motorfest ride back into town. Why not cruise down to the town centre to see a whole host of classic cars and motorcycles for free?
Hosted around the Clock tower and Coronation Park, the collection of classic and contemporary vehicles are a feast for the eyes and ears! From bubble cars to tri-wing motorcycles, supercars to classic buses, there is something for everyone to admire. Get closer to an F1 car than you ever will again and find out more about these wonderful machines by chatting to the owners.
Opening at 11am, there will be food and drink for sale in Coronation park and live music to entertain throughout the day and if that’s not enough, the parade will start at 2:30pm.
The parade sees the closure of Ormskirk’s one way loop for these machines to show off their prowess by circuiting the town. Crowds will line the streets to watch and it is advised that you get there early to secure the best spot behind one of the many barriers.
Because of it’s popularity, it is advised that you make your way to the event via public transport, and what better way to arrive than on a classic Liverpool Corporation bus? Running from Edgehill University, where you can park all day for £5, the free bus will transport you into the town centre and back out again.
So motor on down to Ormskirk’s town centre and bank a great family holiday day out at Ormskirk’s Motorfest 2018.
