Child Action North West has a new project in West Lancashire called ‘Invest in Youth’ funded by the National Lottery Fund. The role involves working with young people ages 15-24 years who are ‘NEET’ – not in education, employment and training and who have a barrier such as a wellbeing issue, substance misuse, homelessness etc. The work with the young person is ongoing and they will take them to appointments, help them complete a CV, and support them into apprenticeships, voluntary work, paid employment or college courses.
The service also offers emotional therapeutic support of up to 10 weeks.
