Every Friday groups of dedicated volunteers join forces with the Beacon Rangers and help with the regeneration of the Tawd Valley park.
The groups get involved with litter picking, path making, clearing of dead trees and bushes and the replanting of new trees, including the new orchard which is adjacent to the Tawd Valley allotment site.
More volunteers are needed and any offers of help would be gratefully received.
If you have some time to offer, the group meets on Fridays at the Children’s park on Summer Street, 10.00 am prompt. Usually the group will work until 3.00 pm, but even if you only have an hour to spare, you would be greatly welcomed.
Please bring refreshments for yourself and dress for the weather conditions, including strong footwear. Work gloves would be helpful as the Rangers don’t always have them but all tools and materials are provided.
