Would You Like to Volunteer at Twinkle House?

About Twinkle House
Twinkle House is a Registered Charity that began in 2004 as parents felt they did not have any ‘practical’ support for their children. We provide a free 1:1 tailored support service for children and young people 0-19 with Disabilities or Additional Needs and their carers. This service is provided by a qualified Integrated Practitioner in Social Work and Learning Disability Nursing who has University student placements working alongside.

After moving to much bigger premises in 2014 we now also provide a range of sensory room facilities including Sensory Hydrotherapy pool, sensory Light and Dark rooms, dance studio and therapy rooms for use by people with Disabilities, Learning Difficulties or mental health issues. These facilities are hired by the hour to the general public when not in use by those with Disabilities.

We have recently secured a grant of £499,863 from The Big Lottery to continue our free support service for families and to provide new group activities to help improve the mental health of children and young people and their carers.
